The Broadcast Operations and Technology (BOT) department supports delivery of Singtel TV services on a wide variety of tasks, including the preparation of content metadata and processing of video files for consumption by customers for up to 180 channels, as well as running 24x7 operations to support Live sports matches via its headend and playout facility. Currently, the BOT department is undergoing a digital transformation journey to refresh its traditional operational workflows and is investing on new technologies to leverage on automation and data analytics. What we are looking for: A vibrant, innovative individual with great passion for DevOps and software development and is looking to put his/ her skills to great use as we strive to elevate the department to the next level in a dynamic and exciting environment in the fast-evolving media industry. Key Responsibilities: Perform software development and integration Support software project management Assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Develop and maintain Java/ C++ and/or C# code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system Will be expected to handle multiple systems development as required Implement DevOps practices throughout department Requirements: Diploma in Computer Science or IT-related fields Minimum 1 year of application development or SDLC experience in a professional environment preferred Familiarity with software programming languages in at least one of Java, C++, C#, Python Good knowledge of Git or other version control systems Strong affinity with MS Visual Studio and NET technology Experience with Jenkins, WPF, XML, HTML, ASPNET is a definite plus Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, multithreading, Web Services and .Net Remoting Basic knowledge of public cloud platforms such as MS Azure Cloud, Azure storage, serverless architecture is a plus Knowledge of relational databases is an asset A deep understanding of object-oriented design and its implementation using distributed application infrastructure setup and configuration We are committed to a safe and healthy environment for our employees & customers and will require all prospective employees to be fully vaccinated.
