Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage most the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. We are seeking for talented professional, to enhance Singapore IBGO capability to enable the vision of future ready smart operations. Job role The Operations Planning and Project Management function of Singapore Institutional Banking Group Operations (IBGO) is responsible for strategic planning, headcount & Financials management and people engagement strategy. In addition, the function strives to drive and execute SG country level digital and strategic initiatives, change management operationalization, new target end-to-end Ops & Servicing model, operations productivity and data instrumentation implementation, customer and employee journeys, demand management, and future ready workforce planning. The team partners closely with all IBGO Regional Project, Products and IBG COO to design fit-for purpose ops user requirements and to scale towards SG IBGO Vision of Digital Smart Ops. We are looking to strengthen our Ops Planning team and hire a Financial Analyst with primary focus in financial, headcount, strategic cost management, and cross support Operations productivity analysis and cost allocation, while working with internal stakeholders and partners like Regional functions and Finance to deliver more data insights to help manage our cost, and deliver on our headcount and SCM strategy. Responsibilities

  • To support Monitoring, governing and tracking of financial/expenses/HC/Strategic cost management performance across SG IBGO PC code, performance of variance analysis and analyze actuals by correlating with key drivers, identify insights/ trends and recommend actions, quantifying risks and opportunities.
  • To provide support for data/analysis/reports/decks required for departmental reviews.
  • To leverage on data at granular level (e.g at initiative level, at expense level) to derive forecast at monthly to quarterly to end of year view for financials, head count.
  • To support ad-hoc requests from stakeholders and management which will involve slice & dice of data to present a breakdown that meets the persona’s needs (e.g. extraction of past year views, repivot of current year data).
  • To support annual budgeting cycle for SG IBGO across >20 PC codes, > 600 headcount & > 50mio cost.
  • To provide support for Strategic Cost Management analysis and reporting.
  • To cross synergise the analysis relating to headcount breakdown by MTK (staff supporting processing work).
  • To support ongoing tracking and monitoring of people role transformation, and support any thematic financials, HC related initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • To look at continuous improvements in the day to day work, to automate structured data analysis for better efficiency and accuracy.
  • To co-lead productivity & resources capacity insights (Management Tool-kit insights) and generate timely actionable insights for management’s updates on overall health of department’s resourcing and capacity, and partner with respective departments to drive continuous productivity improvements.
  • To Partner with Group IBGO Data team to drive e-MTK digitalization alongside with the Ops digital transformation, change management and operationalization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CA/CPA qualification is a must).
  • Work experience in banking environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective problem solver, with excellent quantitative techniques and effective communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Hyperion, Qlikview (not mandatory but would be advantageous).
  • Experiences in advanced excel, Familiarity with data cleansing, shaping and analysis in excel or other tools.
  • Team player with enthusiasm, initiative and resilience.
  • High attention to detail & willingness to continuously strive towards higher standards.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and improve existing processes.
