Job Description

:Job Purpose:Manage audit assignments from start to end including developing internal audit scope and programmes, performing internal audit procedures and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed.Key Responsibilities:

• Audit assignments will include coverage of all functional, business and operating units of CIMB Bank Singapore, including outsourced services.
• Undertake comprehensive risk assessment and planning relating to each audit assignment to ensure that the engagement identifies potential business risks.
• Ensure recommendations are clearly presented and agreed to by management and the audit report is issued promptly.
• Supervise and provide guidance to team members in auditing standards, performance criteria and audit requirements.
• Assist internal audit management with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee, development of the annual internal audit plan and championing internal control concepts throughout the organisation.
• Communicate and interact with management across all divisions.

Requirements:

• Recognised Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA. CIA will be preferred.
• Minimum 12 years relevant experience in internal/external audit or compliance, preferably in a financial institution, and well-versed with retail/commercial/investment banking products and services.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and regulatory compliance knowledge with team leading experience will be preferred.
• Relevant data analytics experience will be advantageous.

Required Competencies and Skills:

• Able to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and able to lead a team efficiently and effectively.
• Understand and apply IIA internal audit principles and standards, COSO and risk assessment practices.
• Exhibit leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify changes and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
• Able to deal with all levels of staff and willing to take on challenges.
• Experienced in using data analytics in audits will be an advantage.
• Agile mindset and ability to apply agile auditing methodology will be an advantage.
