Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Participate in Product Centric Teams (PCTs) for support in unit operations, production recipes on PCS, and automation solutions to enhance productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Troubleshoot automation control system issues in manufacturing operations and lead quality/safety investigations, implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Act as the automation representative in capital projects involving equipment, tank farms, wastewater, production, and utilities systems.
  • Review, validate, and audit new automation systems and existing ones, updating documentation and procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automation systems, addressing issues at control logic, recipe levels, and 3rd-party interfaces.
  • Collaborate with vendors to execute complex preventive maintenance tasks on the Process Control System (PCS).
  • Address software issues in the PCS through knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Identify and resolve complex system/architecture-level issues, getting solutions approved by global sites.
  • Provide training on PCS to end users.
  • Lead and resolve automation systems application, software, architecture, and infrastructure issues, collaborating with vendors as needed.
  • Manage data integration across various automation systems and collaborate with Pfizer Global Automation team to ensure alignment with global standards.
  • Demonstrated good teamwork, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Automation Engineering.
  • Skilled in writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents.
  • Experience with Automation Compliance projects.
  • Familiar with process controls equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Computerized Systems and Compliance regulations/standards.
  • Expertise in Process Automation, particularly in batch manufacturing environments; preferably with Emerson DeltaV.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure (CLAN) for control systems management.
