Responsible for setting up, installing, testing and troubleshooting AV equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, LCD projectors, video monitors, video conference, telepresence devices, recording equipment, sound and mixing boards, and lighting equipment for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations and conferences.
Operation of all audio-visual equipment during events with the aim to provide high quality technical standards.
Ensure that the audio-visual equipment is tested and in correct working order before use of an event; Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify.
Maintains audio-visual equipment including routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and inventory control
Maintain a strong working knowledge of video and audio equipment, wireless technology, computers, LCD projectors and video conferencing equipment
Coordinate integration with specialty audio visual equipment as needed
Responsible for cord management and safe set up
Provide regular feedback to AV Manager or Workplace Team on communication issues and service improvements
Liaison with client management regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events. This will include assistance with PowerPoint presentations, audio and videoconferences.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Diploma in a relevant field or possess a certificate relevant to Audio-Visual
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in this trade
