Job Description

This role is for an individual looking to work in one of the world's largest multinational insurance brokerage and consulting firms with a fast-growing marine footprint in Asia. The successful candidate will continue to develop their skillset within the Cargo and Logistics division of the Specialty by working closely with the Head of Cargo in driving regional growth. The candidate will also have opportunities to travel for business and network with regional partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Servicing and Placement


Working on assigned portfolio of accounts by attending to inquiries promptly Accompanying team members to client/underwriter meetings and events, networking with trade associations finding leads and opportunities Negotiating with underwriters to obtain favourable terms on both existing and new business Managing ad hoc functions and duties relating to client / insurer requests
Processing / Booking


Preparing placement documentation including but not limited to Slips, Cover Note, Market Sheet & Premium Closings Processing of broker documentation and finance closings Liaising with local offices, producers, clients for routine declarations Booking of Premium /Brokerage via Company systems
Administration


Preparing and sending out Renewal Listings Monitoring due dates and inform broker(s) and follow up with Clients if needed Updating Premium receipts and payout record Working with finance team in cash reconciliation

Requirements

At least 5 years of working experience preferably within a broking environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office applications Able to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment Able to work independently as well as in a team Self-motivated, highly organized, resourceful and meticulous Education Qualifications of Degree or higher Language skills: Excellent in English, additional languages such as mandarin will be plus * Able to travel occasionally for business
