Position Purpose

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Business Analyst for the payments group with strong technical acumen to work alongside the Product Mangers and Developers to drive projects for our banking and charitable clients. A Business Analyst plays a vital role in the Global Payments Product team as the candidate is expected to take ownership for projects which could be for revenue generation, a cost- savings initiative or an operational process improvement. As a result, an individual working in this position is required to have strong knowledge and experience working with Payment products and is expected to steer the development of our platforms considering the latest trends in both payments technology and global payment flows.


Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple products into one client facing system which includes spot and forward transactions
• Work with internal and external customers to design End-to-End integration solutions; enhancement specifications, test plans and implementation strategy
• Assist in the rewrite and implementation of the FXecute Client System
• Design business workflows with focus on keeping the workflow simple and at the same time adhering to the regulatory and audit requirements
• Assist in gathering and analyzing project requirements from internal and external clients and transforming this information into functional specifications
• Involved in End to End testing (Front office, Middle office and Back Office) applications in conjunction with the respective team
• Communicate and interact on a regular basis with the Head of Product Management, Sales, Client Services and the Development team during different stages of the project.

• Understanding of Forwards FX business and unwinding clients position to make payments
• Standard understanding of the international payments process
• Experience working on client facing platforms which processed spot and forward transactions
• Knowledge of different SWIFT message types including but not limited to SWIFT MT9xx, MT103, MT202, MT300
• Expert in the PACS and PAIN format of the ISO 20022 file
• Knowledge of communication systems with banks through SWIFTNet, SWIFT FileAct, API integration, secure FTP etc.
• Prefer a minimum of 5 years of work experience in payments and FX space, ideally with a global financial institution or a Fintech company
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in business or technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time
• Knowledge of the practical application of software and technology
• Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge of technology systems and skills
• Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail
