The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director - SG Food, your responsibility is to build a strong business partnership relationship with the operations leadership for food business in Singapore, becoming a trusted and valued member of their teams. You will be working directly with the operations directors to help handle store performance and profitability, design and deliver BAU and critical initiatives that can drive our company forward, making a direct impact on our customers.

• Shape the role of financial business partnership in Southeast Asia by developing positive relationship with the leadership to identify and deliver initiatives to grow volumes and profitability
• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts of banner/store P&L, working capital and capital expenditures, by partnering closely with the operations team and collaborating with other FBPs and finance functions
• Participate in strategy meetings to understand the direction setting of the company
• Participate in target setting and ensure that both short- and long-term priorities are catered for
• Drive the weekly trade meetings and store performance management review, define and track critical metrics
• Provide concrete insights by using the digital tools and market insights available, and use these insights to find opportunities and risks, prioritize and make recommendations
• Support the property expansion plan by developing financial models and scenario analyses, challenge business assumptions and make recommendation, track post performance and highlight key findings
• Identify and define process improvements and digitalization journey to improve efficiency and effectiveness of driving better performance
• Mentor and develop finance analysts
• Any other duties assigned by Manager

About You

• CA/CPA/CIMA/CFA qualification is preferred
• More than 2 years of relevant business partnering experience working in fast paced environment, preferably within supermarket retail or big4
• Experience working with and influencing non-financial stakeholders especially Operations / Sales / Commercial / Merchandising / Buying functions
• Intuition for business and an ability to interpret and analyse financial results, big data, and shown experience in structured problem solving
• Outstanding time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks within a challenging environment
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Good in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with digital tools i.e. SAP BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Automation are desirable
• Results oriented, be hands-on, and thrive in less structured environments
