DESIGNATION : Senior Business Development Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of an exciting ‘startup’ within Fairprice organization. You'll be on the frontlines introducing businesses to Fairprice, while developing and testing new strategies for partner engagement. We need a highly strategic, creative and driven leader with an engaging personality who thrives working autonomously and in a team environment. This person will be responsible for setting up a national Business Development roadmap and for developing and owning business relationships and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to think strategically and analytically about business and product opportunities, and a demonstrated track record of negotiating, executing, and managing high-value partnerships with food partners. There are four strategic focus areas:

  • Kopitiam Food Courts, Coffee Shops, and Hawker centers (FCH)
  • Restaurants: Managing singapore accounts and originating high impact deals with the best food partners
  • Customers: Unlocking new channels to accelerate growth of customers
  • Platform: Increasing access to our platform with technology integrations and maximizing the platform strategy across all lines of business
  • Strategy: Growing market share by expanding in adjacent areas

Responsibilities
  • Be a key member of leadership team in Singapore providing input into the strategic direction of the business, coaching and mentoring team members
  • Evaluate and prioritize partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Develop meaningful relationships with key partners that fit into our go-to-market strategy
  • Envision new ways that partnerships can positively impact core business objectives applying creativity and business acumen
  • Support the partnership from relationship building and due diligence, contract negotiations, all the way through post-contract sign integration and expansion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in operations and product
  • Set, track and report on food partner performance metrics
  • Act as a partner advocate internally for our platform


QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • A history of forming and executing partnerships, particularly in the food industry in SIngapore
  • Demonstrated track-record of operating effectively in different environments, ideally including high growth technology companies
  • Passion for technology and interest in everything food.
  • Conceptual and analytical horsepower.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Proven ability to forge relationships with food partners in Singapore such as FCH stall owners, quick service restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decision making without having formal authority.
  • Undergraduate in Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative focus area.


OTHER INFORMATION
  • This is a flexible working environment. While the official HQ location is Joon Koon we are presently working from home. Previously when we were asked to return to the office twice per week during which we go to Robinson 77, one of many places we have offices.
