Job Summary:

This role is responsible for coordinating the collection and cleansing of policy data for use in Allied World\xe2\x80\x99s catastrophe modelling operation. This position also ensures that sound catastrophe pricing is being undertaken across relevant lines and has responsibility for the reporting of exposures to management.

Duties and Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Perform quality assurance checks against all account statements of value

\xc2\xb7 Interpret policy structure, code policy and location information data as required per line of business

\xc2\xb7 Utilise insurance experience in making sound modelling assumptions across several classes of business, to include Property, Marine and Construction

\xc2\xb7 Interact with underwriting teams to obtain complete and timely exposure data for catastrophe modelling purposes and to provide feedback on pricing and exposures

\xc2\xb7 Modelling accounts pre-bind as required to produce average annual loss and exposure summaries on an individual deal basis

\xc2\xb7 Maintain control record information for all bound business

\xc2\xb7 Track exposures in high-hazard catastrophe areas to provide timely information to local management

\xc2\xb7 Maintain current exposure data via AIR software. Produce monthly portfolios and associated PML reports for use in consolidated corporate roll-up

\xc2\xb7 Perform necessary catastrophe analysis to respond to regulatory questionnaires and other ad-hoc queries

\xc2\xb7 Maintain good working relationship with local and international representatives of modelling firm (AIR)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirement:

\xc2\xb7 Degree holder \xe2\x80\x93 Computer Science / Mathematics / Actuarial Science

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in catastrophe modelling experience (AIR) within P&C insurance industry, covering insurance and reinsurance

\xc2\xb7 Detailed understanding of insurance and reinsurance terminology, contracts and coverage

\xc2\xb7 Good analytical and problem solving skills with an attention to detail

\xc2\xb7 Strong team player, ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and to tight reporting deadlines, with flexible approach to work

\xc2\xb7 Excellent inter-personal and language skills

\xc2\xb7 Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of MS Office 2010 and SQL

\xc2\xb7 Computer programming language experience
