Responsibilities
Managing and leading a group of hourly Inspectors in the Pratt & Whitney Manufacturing Singapore (PWMS).
Ensure team compliance for personal safety and quality assurance.
Lead a World Class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
Responsibilities include allocating and assigning resources, as well as a strong leadership and focus for CORE, FOD, EH&S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary interface across all shifts to ensure flawless production transition between shifts.
Effectively communicate with other department personnel and key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell and business goals.
Perform administrative functions as related employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records.
Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.
Manage cell overtime within budget and equitably distribute among employees.
Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained in compliance to equipment health requirements, and uptime is maximized and that all safety requirements are met.
Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of product integrity.
Drive process improvement and \xe2\x80\x9clean\xe2\x80\x9d manufacturing initiatives to continually improve quality and productivity for products and processes within cell.
Specify, justify and install capital projects in support of current and future inspection requirements.
Ensure safety and ergonomic requirements within the area of operation.
Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem-solving skills when working towards resolution.
Coach employees for development and to improve performance when needed.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory experience preferably in Manufacturing Eng, Quality Eng, Supply Chain / Quality Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Team player and with positive attitude
Excellent communication skills across all levels of workforce
Able to work well under pressure and highly self-motivated
Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous.
Able to lead a team independently.
Ability to interact with all levels and external suppliers.
