Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Assist head chef in the planning of duty roster for kitchen staffs
  • Maintain high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage
  • Guide, train and motivate kitchen staffs to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Work with team to create and develop new dishes to attract more customers
  • Ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and adhere to health and safety standards
  • Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for customers
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned
  • Hires and trains new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
  • Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
  • Assists head chef with menu creation

Requirements
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Flexibility on working days and hours including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
