The Role Responsibilities
Are you ready to be part of the team that drives the cloud strategy and architecture to build a cloud platform that meets banks security and resiliency standards? If yes, we are looking for a "Senior Cloud Architect" to be part of this team.
What you will do

  • Architect and design cloud services to meet the security, resilience, availability requirements for the bank.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for services on cloud.
  • Deliver solution architecture and design for services on cloud.
  • Perform architecture assessments on cloud services to meet bank\'s requirements.
  • Work with application architects to build patterns and solutions for specific workloads.
  • Build architectures that scalable, resilient, secure, fault tolerant, compliant with regulations.
  • Build prototypes to validate the design and conformance to standards.
  • Work with cloud service providers to drive the bank\'s agenda, provide feedback for service improvements to meet bank\'s requirements.
  • Build relationships with architects and engineers across the bank and drive the adoption of cloud.
What you will bring
  • Deep understanding and experience on cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure or others.
  • Deep understanding in cloud services across compute, containers, serverless, storage, network and content delivery.
  • Deep understanding on storage, RDBMS and No-sql /in-memory database services.
  • Deep understanding of security, identity and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of building hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Strong expertise building solution architecture and design on cloud services.
  • Strong experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practise, tooling and techniques (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, git; Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Packer, Rundeck, Ansible, AppDynamics, Splunk).
  • Expertise in one of the following programming languages such as : Java, C, C++, Golang or Javascript.
  • Ability to do rapid prototyping and testing.
  • Ability to use context to drive relevant architecture decisions.
  • Be a good listener to be effective in designs.
  • Goes without saying, able to sketch architecture diagrams and solutions.
  • Ability to bring multiple perspectives & dimensions while solving a problem and identify solutions.
  • Ability to zoom in/out to see different things and uncover details to build relevant architectures.
  • Ability to say no to govern the design constraints.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with 12 years of software delivery and business experience in the financial services industry with 3 years of experience on cloud technologies.
  • Industry certifications on Cloud and Container technologies.
  • Strong experience in computer science fundamentals and engineering.
  • Experience with adopting and executing technical standards, process and governance across a broad project portfolio.
  • Preferred demonstrated capability in automation, cloud and open-source technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in modern technologies, cloud, APIs, and open source.
