About the job Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager(s), you will be responsible for supporting the Manager in fulfilling our clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs based on the full spectrum of regulatory compliance advisory work\xe2\x80\x94from licensing, setting up of compliance framework, and performing ongoing compliance monitoring, amongst other projects. Our clients are regulated financial institutions, the majority of whom are Capital Market Services Licence holders such as broker-dealers, insurance brokers, exchanges, and payment services entities.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist the Manager with daily tasks, including preparing first drafts of policies and manuals, taking down meeting minutes during client engagements, filing of periodic reports to MAS, etc.
- To summarise MAS regulatory updates.
- To prepare bespoke monthly compliance reports for clients.
- To ensure that appropriate and necessary compliance systems, policies, practices, procedures, and culture are in place and operating effectively at client companies.
- To spot gaps, errors, and breaches in client\xe2\x80\x99s compliance structure and to highlight such gaps to the Manager.
- To follow up proactively on ongoing issues and ad-hoc projects.
- To keep abreast of regulatory updates and update clients\xe2\x80\x99 accordingly if there has been any material updates.
- To develop training material and deliver trainings.
- Relevant academic and industry qualifications.
- 4 to 6 years working in a compliance position (or long period, if in a related industry such as KYC or auditing).
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proactive in developing compliance knowledge and keep up-to-date with regulatory changes (both local and regional) and new trends in the compliance space.
- Continue to develop technical skills.
