What the role is:We are seeking a manager/senior manager to play a crucial role in raising cyber readiness levels within the Singapore maritime community and forging strong international partnerships. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage maritime industry companies, associations, research institutes in developing and operating Maritime Cyber Assurance and Operations Centre (MCAOC). This will include the development of cyber technological and human capabilities as well as solutions aimed at uplifting the cyber maturity and security postures of both large organisations and small and medium enterprises. Additionally, the role will involve partnering like-minded international ports and port authorities such as those from Port Authorities CIO Cybersecurity Network (PACC-Net), chainPORT and Green and Digital Shipping Corridor; ports and shipping associations; classification societies; cybersecurity organisations; and government agencies to collectively strengthen cyber defence for the maritime ecosystem.What you will be working on:

  • Formulate and execute plans to actively involve and onboard new companies in the maritime sector, as well as industry associations and research institutions, in the Maritime Cyber Assurance and Operations Centre (MCAOC).
  • Oversee initiatives aimed at advancing cyber technology and bolstering the cyber capabilities of large organisations and small to medium-sized businesses in the maritime sector, thereby elevating their cyber maturity and enhancing their security readiness.
  • Foster partnerships with global ports, port authorities, industry associations, cybersecurity entities, and government agencies to create a cohesive cyber defence framework for the maritime industry.
  • Lead efforts to establish and strengthen international partnerships with like-minded entities, including those from Port Authorities CIO Cybersecurity Network (PACC-Net), chainPORT, and Green and Digital Shipping Corridor and representing MPA in international maritime cybersecurity related fora.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing strategies to enhance cyber readiness levels within the maritime community in Singapore.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and address cybersecurity challenges specific to the maritime sector.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in maritime cybersecurity.
What we are looking for:
  • Experience in eco-system and business development.
  • 3-5 years of experience for manager position and 5-7 years of experience for senior manager position.
  • Possess expertise and comprehension of global cybersecurity frameworks and best practices, effectively applying them within the maritime domain.
  • Demonstrate a thorough grasp of regulatory mandates and standards related to maritime cybersecurity and data governance, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance.
  • Exhibit a results-oriented approach, prioritizing the delivery of impactful outcomes and fostering positive change within the cybersecurity realm of the maritime sector.
  • Proven flexibility and capability to excel in a rapidly evolving and dynamic setting.
  • Hold certifications in cybersecurity such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or other relevant certifications, demonstrating a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices.
