About this role
With a mandate to grow its finance and economics team and capabilities, Arup requires a motivated individual with proven advisory and ESG experience gained on major infrastructure projects. The purpose of this role is to support the F&E advisory offering across South East Asia and Australasia region, based in Singapore. This is a high impact role that will help shape the future of Arup\xe2\x80\x99s Advisory business and will include client engagement, work winning, project delivery, training and mentoring and technical advice. The role is internal delivery facing and providing additional delivery capacity to the F&E team in region, focused on ESG advisory, energy advisory, and investment business cases. You will provide focus, continuity and technical guidance across business case and economics advisory projects across various infrastructure subsectors. You will bring technical excellence, very strong writing and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for developing socially useful project outcomes.

What will I do?

  • You will collate and develop content for successful proposals and tender documents, and support the proposal process.
  • You will undertake market research on sectors or agreed assets to help inform the broader team\xe2\x80\x99s business development focus and/or support specific pitch effort.
  • You will work with other Arup disciplines to support multidisciplinary bids and winning proposals.
  • Build internal network with various businesses to ensure mobilization of wider Arup expertise across planning, design, engineering, finance and research sectors to meet specific client needs.
  • Seek innovative solutions and embrace innovative methods to add value to clients, the environment and society. Cross sell wider planning & advisory services and identify/develop wider downstream opportunities for Arup via \xe2\x80\x98trusted advisor\xe2\x80\x99 relationships.
  • Support Arup leaders across SE Asia to identify talent, build capacity, develop skills and share experience. Contribute to incremental growth of the F&E team and contribute to wider growth of Arup\xe2\x80\x99s Advisory business.
  • Participate in broader Office, Group, Region and/or Global activities as assigned or appropriate.
What will I bring?
  • A relevant university Degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience with proven advisory and ESG experience gained on major infrastructure projects.
  • Be conversant with some, but not necessarily across all concepts, EU Taxonomy, portfolio decarbonisation, green bonds / sustainability linked loans, climate risk & governance, responsible investment, and natural capital.
  • Conversant in frameworks to assess commercial viability of infrastructure investment.
  • Comfortable with ESG due diligence for Mergers & Acquisitions, ESG strategy and sustainability reporting.
  • Familiarity with the infrastructure and real estate sectors, and the socio-economic drivers that underpin their development
  • Skills in mentoring, coaching and supporting the technical development of junior team members.
