Roles & Responsibilities


We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate

Senior Counsellor

to join our team. This role will lead the

Counselling & Therapy Service (CTS)

, provide direct therapeutic interventions, mentor junior staff, and drive outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance service delivery, ensure professional excellence, and meet the evolving needs of our clients and community.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Outreach & Engagement


Lead and participate in outreach initiatives to raise awareness of the Division's services.

Programme Leadership


Serve as Programme In-Charge for CTS, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.


Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to grow and strengthen CTS.

Clinical Practice


Conduct comprehensive counselling assessments and deliver individual and group interventions.


Manage trauma-related and youth-specific cases with sensitivity and professionalism.

Documentation & Compliance


Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely case records in line with professional standards.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES



Proven track record in working with youth and managing trauma-related cases. Strong expertise in delivering counselling interventions in both individual and group formats. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & ACHIEVEMENTS



Master's degree in Counselling or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the social service sector or a related field. Registered Counsellor with a recognised professional body (e.g., SAC, SPS). * Prior experience in providing case and/or clinical supervision to counsellors and social service practitioners.
