Position Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Credit Analyst specialised in the Asian financial sector to join our Global Credit Research team.

The Global Credit Research team underpins the firm\'s global investment process and value proposition as an active manager. The team is in constant interaction with portfolio management of the global fixed income platform (over \xe2\x82\xac100bil).

The role will focus on the Asian financial sectors, both banks and insurers, NBFIs and REITS.

The successful candidate will be part of a team based in Honk Kong and working with portfolio managers predominantly located in Allianz GI\'s European and Asian locations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Be the primary analyst on Asian financial institutions (banks and insurers), NBFIs and REITs
• Use an analytical approach based on financial modelling and stress testing, company due diligence to determine investment opportunities
• Knowledge of the specific regulatory and supervisory landscape in China, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan
• Produce sector research using various publicly available statistics and incorporating macroeconomic conditions, monetary policy, industry trends and ESG analysis
• Relative Value analysis along the different dimensions relevant for financials (seniority, geography, business profile, legacy status, etc.)
• Participate in credit committees and portfolio management meeting
• Strategize with portfolio managers on positioning for portfolios across sectors and capital structures to maximize returns.
• Contribute to marketing efforts for various strategies with clients

Experience / Qualifications and Skills

• Five years or more of experience in credit analysis in a rating agency or on the buy-side or sell-side or a related function (Consulting Firms, Independent Research, etc.)
• Diligent and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills, autonomy, curiosity, and reactiveness.
• Team player and ability to build positive relationships across the business
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Excel (preferably with some VBA skills); S&P Capital IQ (former SNL) and Bloomberg knowledge
• Proficient in Mandarin and English
• CFA a plus
