Responsibilities: The incumbent is to ensure end to end activities from data requirements generation, design, data acquisition, analysis, reporting and data maintenance. 1) Identify data: work with Responsibilities: The incumbent is to ensure end to end activities from data requirements generation, design, data acquisition, analysis, reporting and data maintenance. 1) Identify data: work with stakeholders to identify and determine datasets and data sources required for analysis. 2) Acquire data: determine systems and methodology to collect required data efficiently, consistently and timely. 3) Analyze data: a. Determine suitable tools for data extraction, load, transform and analysis. b. Design analysis templates and data structures/tables and data modelling needed to support data analysis. c. Eyeball data for correctness and integrity prior performing analysis. Proactively seek stakeholders support to verify data prior posting for analysis. d. Analyze trends and identify thresholds for actions taking. e. Perform simulations where applicable. Apply AI/ML Techniques where required. f. Interpret data and provide recommendations where applicable. g. Generate predictive analysis to support proactive activities to drive continuous improvements. 4) Reporting: a. Design reporting format that is simple to understand. Where applicable reports should include filtering, slicing, and drill down capabilities. Utilize Business Intelligence tools where applicable. b. Ensure analysis accuracy and relevance. Review and ensure data quality prior publishing. c. Periodically publish related reports to stakeholders and proactively solicit input to drive continuous improvement. 5) Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs. Support corporate projects related to data requests and analysis. 6) Data Warehouse setup and Data maintenance: a. Define and setup Data Warehouse to meet organizational needs. Establish systems and procedures to ensure effective maintenance of Data Warehouse. b. Establish and document data formatting, delivery methods, and maintenance procedures. c. Where database and systems are under department ownership, install systems and procedures to ensure data security and access control. d. Establish system to prevent misuse and abuse of retained data. 7) Training: Conduct related training to stakeholders so that they can be self-sufficient to manage routine data analysis and visualization. 8) Support other duties as assigned. Qualification: . Degree in Engineering/Statistic/Mathematics/Computer Science/Economics/Information Management. Master degree in related discipline would be an advantage. Experience: . At least 4 years of data architecture experience in a large and complex data ecosystem. . Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (excel, VBA) and statistical techniques and software (Minitab, SPSS, SAS, etc). Knowledge in Power BI, Tableau or other similar visualization tools would be an advantage. . Proven working experience as a data analyst, data scientist or data architect. Ability to generate data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. . Hands-on experience with one or more relational SQL and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery. Hadoop, Snowflake, DynamoDB, Neo4J, MongoDB. . Knowledge and experience in SQL, SQL server or Postgres SQL, Python, R, Business Intelligent Data Warehouse or ETL framework and AI/ML would be an advantage. . Experienced with data retrieval, data cleansing techniques including using Python script and web scrapping would be an advantage. . Strong aptitude for numbers and data crunching. Ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to details and accuracy. . Experience in managing diverse stakeholders' requirements and expectations.
