Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who has deep knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms and has prior experience of developing ML/ DL models independently and deriving insights towards a cherished goal. The right candidate should have experience in leading a team of junior data scientists and be able to lead technical conversations while also be able to present model derived insights to a wider audience. The candidate is also required to work in close collaboration with the data engineering, software engineering and product teams towards deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with client during the early stages of project development leading conversations and understanding client requirements
• Develop ML/ DL models for predictive analytics processing on clinical/ healthcare datasets to address client requirement and/ or business problems
• Engage in exploratory data analysis for identification of existing patterns and formulate modeling approach to solve problems
• Manage and mentor a team of intermediate and junior data scientists to implement ideated modeling approach and supervise model training and validation
• Communicate and collaborate with product and software engineering teams towards deployment on a regular basis
• Innovate and be aware of state-of-the-art ML/ DL model architectures and modelling methodologies
• Maintain technically rigorous documentation and convert project specific model findings into manuscripts to be submitted to international peer-reviewed journals for publication

Requirements:

• PhD or MS (only for exceptionally strong candidates) in Computer Science, Statistics, Bio-Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Bio-informatics, Life Sciences, Physics or related fields
• Excellent understanding of different state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques specially predictive modelling
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with development of production level codes
• Familiarity with scikit-learn and Python visualization packages
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, Keras and PyTorch
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with AWS facilities
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability
• Excellent communication, interpersonal relationship skills and a strong team player

Preferred Candidates with the following skills will receive additional consideration –

• Strong publication record in respective field of specialization
• Prior experience in handling large datasets and parallelization
• MLOps
