Job Description

We are working with a leading FI for a Senior DBA role. Its a new headcount and they are looking for someone with a good experience in Oracle. Due to current situation, our client is not able to provide visa sponsorship.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain database design documents, ensuring they remain current.

• Oversee the database environment, encompassing Oracle and SQL Server.

• Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving emerging issues. Perform daily Start-of-Day (SOD) checks and address any identified problems. Ensure the database is sufficiently backed up and can be recovered as necessary.

• Address user-reported errors promptly and efficiently.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle Restart on the Windows platform. Possess hands-on experience with Oracle versions 11.x, 12.x, and 19.x, including database activities like patching and maintenance.

• Establish and uphold database standards (security, reliability, availability, scalability) and ensure compliance with these standards and procedures by our product teams.

• Initiate and manage Service Requests and vendor cases, providing regular updates and overseeing the process until resolution.

• Provide support during system testing, user acceptance testing, and Go-Live scenarios.

• Execute and supervise changes while upholding data integrity.

• Handle sensitive data, including financial and customer information, ethically.

• Possess proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Management tools and other incident and problem management platforms such as Service Now.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor\'s Degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Accumulate a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in system/database development.

• Possess extensive knowledge and experience in Database Administration.

• Previous involvement in IT system development, control, and operations within a leadership capacity is essential.

• Proficiency in analyzing banking operations, formulating banking operational procedures, and devising banking operational plans is advantageous.
