About Currency Currency Design is an established homegrown design studio that offers creative direction and content across mediums of expression to build strong brands and well-designed outcomes. Check out our work at: http://currencydesign.info The Role: Designers are the backbone of Currency Design. They obsess over and create the kind of work that inspires our clients and partners to continue working with us, year after year after year. As our Senior Designer/ Art Director, expect to direct cross-spectrum design projects including print, web, and spatial. You will also lead engagements with clients and partners, support business development, and manage project milestones. The scope includes:

• Functioning as right-hand person to the studio owner/founder to provide design direction and execution for projects, and support the studio\xe2\x80\x99s long-term growth plans
• Delivering innovative design outputs of high quality across media and use cases, throughout project stages\xe2\x80\x94 from concept to final production.
• Supporting the company\xe2\x80\x99s internal processes, work flows, and project management to execute projects, as well as conceiving improvements to them.
• Supporting best practices, optimizations, and new approaches for design work, as well as conceiving improvements to them.
• Productively engaging with the team, clients, and other partners to ensure that projects meet expectations, design requirements, timelines, and other milestones.
• Leading internal knowledge-sharing events and studio promotion projects.
• Making efforts for personal skills and career advancement, as well as the team\xe2\x80\x99s.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek: (Our needs are broad and we are open to meeting candidates with high potential. Even if you do not meet all requirements, who do consider your application holistically.)

• At least 7 years of professional experience in graphic design, particularly in print, web, and spatial for reputable clientele.
• Mastery of design principles and printing procedures. Photography, film, and/or illustration capability is a plus.
• Top-notch communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.
• A self-starter who knows what needs to be done and leads with urgency, focus, and discipline.
• A natural collaborator who can build strong working relationships within and outside the studio.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Experience with UI/UX and web development is a plus.
• Preferred but not required: software proficiencies in Mac, Google Cloud apps, Notion, Discord.
