DESIGNATION : Senior Director, Product Process Development (PPD)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Director of PPD is responsible for delivering development activities from design to mass production. The candidate is accountable for sitewide cost reduction, continuous efficiency and power improvement activities and industrializing new R&D initiatives.The candidate is responsible for providing directions and guidance to the PPD department. PPD department comprises of three teams managing contract manufacturing, legacy products, wafer, cell and module process development projects. The teams collaborate very closely with cross functional teams within the organization, namely R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Certification and Quality, to seamlessly introduce and implement new materials and processes in the factories. They also interact actively with external suppliers and vendors to keep abreast with the market and industrial trends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support CTO on overall R&D & PPD roadmap to stay ahead of the competitors.
• Drive cost reduction activities within the organization.
• Responsible for launching new processes, materials and products in timely and high-quality manner.
• Be the key driver and leader in ensuring teams to excel in improvement, qualification and implementation of new processes/products including changes and/or new product introduction and are in-line with the overall production performance enhancement targets.
• Provide directions to PPD teams and set priorities for the team to effectively achieve yearly targets.
• Proactively identify opportunities for delivering cost reduction, CE or module power improvement enablers.
• Support R&D teams to deliver and industrialize new processes and materials in the factories.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizations\xe2\x80\x99 goals and KPIs.
• Nurture and guide the PPD teams to undertake new challenges that are given by the senior management.
• Influence suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 roadmap to support organization\xe2\x80\x99s R&D roadmap.
• Create and manage PPD yearly budget.
• Candidate will directly report to the CTO.

• Degree in engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, material science or related discipline). Preferably Ph.D with relevant working experience.
• 15 years or more working experience and experience in leading multiple Development or R&D teams.
• Working experience in Solar or Semiconductors manufacturing industry preferred.
• Extensive experience in Solar cell and module design, Semiconductor, or similar industries.
• Deep knowledge of industry trends and best practices\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in DOE, FMEA, and DFMEA.
• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation.
• A proven record of managing high-performing development teams.
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Fluency in oral and written Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking suppliers and vendors.
• Experience building and maintaining external and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Strong leadership skills with collaborative mindset.
• Dynamic & committed with proactive working attitude.
• Ability to initiate without being asked.

• Highly effective personal skills with good communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
