Mission

Vaccines M&S is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Evolutive Vaccine Facility (EVF). The EVF Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi strategy as it aims at creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities, modular, adaptable, and agile, leveraging new disruptive technologies, to better address vaccine business challenges.

She/He operate and maintain electrical switchboards, distribution panels, electrical equipment, process & utility instruments for maximum plant availability always. To establish end to end operation and maintenance solutions for Electrical, utility and process equipment and align with Industry and Digital 4.0 initiatives.

The mission\xe2\x80\x99s scope requires a high interactive collaboration with the various best in class, vendors, Automation solution providers, consultants, and external skid vendors.

The Senior Electrical and Instrument Technician will report to engineer/lead.


Key accountabilities


Education and Experience

Education Required

  • Related Diploma or Advanced Diploma from an accredited technical institution.
  • Minimum 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in operation, maintenance and calibration in Electrical and Instrument field & pharmaceutical manufacturing plant experience.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of Singapore standards code of practice SS 650 and SS 638, calibration & operation principle of various type of instruments as well as cGMP guide and relevant maintenance standards.
  • Having LEW grade 7 is added advantage.


Experience Required
  • Good technical knowledge coupled with hands-on working experience in pharmaceutical/ vaccines plant engineering services.
  • Support engineers to implement projects in timely manner with system performance comply with EHS, quality, GES, local code of practice and regulation requirements.
  • Maintain all the HT, LV switchboards, ELV system (FA, PA, CCTV, ACS and EVS) and instruments in good conditions all time to minimize the disruption to production process.
  • Maintain & troubleshoot and repair all the electrical driven equipment to maximum plant availability
  • To perform operation and maintenance work in accordance to SOPs and maintenance/Job Plans generated from the CMMS. She/he will also be required to follow up and regularly review and closure of all the work orders in the CMMS.
  • Plan, Schedule and execution of Preventive maintenance, corrective and ad hoc work request with applicable Stakeholders to ensure minimal Production impact without any over dues.
  • Execute minor plant modifications and assigned small scale capital projects
  • Develop Electrical system and Instrument procedure and training tools for maintenance and operation.
  • Good knowledge in pharmaceutical regulatory market requirements and experience in participation of Audits. E.g., - FDA, EMA, HSA & etc.,
  • To Calibrate, maintain and repair all the process and utility instrument to maximize the plant availability
  • Assist Engineer in annual Maintenance budget cost estimations for accurate forecast projections.
  • Comply with site and global EHS and Biosafety procedure during adhoc works and maintenance activities
  • Ensure external service provider comply with site safety and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute continuous improvement and modification activities to save operation cost
  • Lead to manage the spare part requirements for the Electrical and Instruments required for utility and process equipment(s).
  • Strict adherence to cGMP and GDP (SOPs, PMs, CMs, etc.). Reporting any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in overtime requirements as necessary and will require a rotating shift pattern.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors / vendors to carry out their duties to make sure maintenance services are successfully carried out.
  • Involve in commissioning and qualification activities and take over Electrical equipment, ELV system and instrument from contractor.
  • Supervise contractor, monitor progress for assigned projects and ensure timely complete without any safety and quality deviation.


Skills Required
  • Interpretation of electrical/Instrument symbols/ SLD, P&ID, AFD and schematic diagrams.
  • Good problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Hands on in mechanical maintenance procedures.
  • Principles of electrical networking.
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Good communication skills and ability to influence and develop external partnerships
  • Good technical write up.
  • Ability to lead contingent staffs, external resources, including vendors & contractors.
  • Good team player willing to work for the common goal.
  • Openness to learn and adopt with new environment.
