Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for the project. Experience in infrastructure projects such as rail and roads will be added advantage.
• Ability to work independently in analyses, design, submissions, construction support and coordination works. Plan, design and supervise civil and structural engineering works (e.g. buildings, roads, drains, sewers, earthworks, underground buildings, temporary structures).
• Ability to coordinate and supervise the accurate production of design drawings.
• Ensure designs are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory or authority standards and regulations and codes of practices.
• Coordinate with contractors, project team and design consultants.
• Manage project stakeholders, clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Possess a Civil and Structural Engineering degree, preferably recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Min 5 years working experience in structural engineering projects, preferably relevant projects in Singapore and Australia. (Candidates with experience below 5 years are also welcomed for junior engineer roles)
• A team player with good engineering and work aptitude, systematic logical thinking skills and reasonably good communications ability.
• Familiar with structural engineering design to local Singapore Codes, Regulations and requirements, Eurocode. (Knowledge in Australian codes will be an added advantage)
• Well verse with structural analysis and design softwares, e.g. MIDAS, STAAD Pro, ROBOT, OASYS GSA, ETABS, SAFE, SAP 2000 etc.
• Knowledge and familiarity with BIM softwares (ie Revit, Aecomsim, etc), parametric design or programming/coding (ie Phyton, Grasshopher, etc) will be added advantage
• Familiar with authority submission requirements for civil and structural works.
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedure and construction administration.
• Experienced in leading a team of engineers/drafters to deliver the project objectives, and to represent the Discipline Lead.
• Experience in design/project management works in BIM.
• Ability work independently, requiring minimal guidance, lead and attend meetings as required.
