Job Description

What the role is:

In support of Singapore\'s Smart Nation and sustainability ambitions, HDB is harnessing the power of data to create a more sustainable and efficient future. We are currently rolling out a large number of sensors in our infrastructure to enable remote monitoring of estate services, in areas such as energy and water usage, lifts, solar PV, other M&E equipment, etc. Data from these sensors are analysed in a central platform - the Smart Hub - to provide valuable insights to enhance estate maintenance and management, stretch sustainability targets, and support HDB\'s planning and design processes. We are planning to enhance the Smart Hub\'s capability further, for example, through the incorporation of Command and Control capability and the harnessing of cloud technologies.

What you will be working on:

As a Senior Engineer/Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of the Smart Hub, and be responsible for: 1. Strategic Planning. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing your strategic insights and expertise to the overall vision and direction of the Smart Hub project. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project aligns with HDB\'s long-term goals and objectives. 2. Project Management. You will be working on the scaling up of Smart Hub infrastructure and its cloud migration, ensuring that deadlines are met, budgets are controlled and quality is maintained. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including external vendors, ICT professionals, and sustainability experts. 3. IoT Deployment. Sensors are a key source of data for the Smart Hub. You will also work on projects to deploy more sensors e.g. non-intrusive lift sensors, in our public housing infrastructure, and to integrate them with backend platforms. 4. Research and Development. As we collect more data, opportunities for data analytics and the building of AI models will arise. You will be working with data scientists to develop deeper insights to further optimise our estates.

What we are looking for:

• Background in Engineering or Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant field \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3-5 years of experience in project management in ICT or data-related projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong ICT skills, including experience with data management and analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of cloud technologies will be a bonus \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and as part of a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactive in keeping abreast and experiment with new digital solutions to enhance project outcomes If you are a driven and motivated individual with a passion for data and sustainability, we would love to hear from you!
