Lead mechanical testing department staff in conducting various mechanical tests including room & elevated temperature tensile, creep & stress rupture, hydrogen embrittlement and tensile bond strength tests of metallic materials.
Ensure tests conducted adhere to international standard specifications, customer requirements, technical, quality and safe work procedures.
Review test data and reports to ensure quality and accuracy.
Provide technical support to the Sales division on customer enquiries.
Communicate with customers to clarify testing requirements, incoming specimens, expected completion dates, test results, and ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments on multi-department jobs.
Ensure mechanical testing equipment and instrumentation are calibrated, maintained, and operated in accordance with quality procedures.
Identify and resolve issues related to testing procedures and equipment.
Work with Quality Manager on internal & external quality related activities including certification body & customer audits, proficiency & round robin testing, identify root causes for non-conformances and implement corrective & preventive actions.
Develop and improve mechanical testing processes and procedures, including new testing services.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience preferably in the Mechanical or Materials Testing field.
Good communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
Well organized, flexible and can multi-task.
