What will you do?

• Use systems engineering approaches, we partner with the R&D/technical lead to guide the project team to research and develop life science instruments to tackle sophisticated challenges and/or improve customers' workflow
• We initiate and guide discussions with key partners to generate requirements
• We refine and manage requirements to ensure they are timely implemented at different stages
• We support the development team in feasibility studies and concept selection through concept testing activities
• We lead system integration activities to ensure a smooth and timely transition from design to operations
• We partner and support our regulatory affairs representative during product development to meet relevant ISO and FDA standards and guidelines
• We undertake and address vital tasks to achieve the product launch objectives

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Disciplines or Biotechnology
• Experience in Life Science, biotechnology is an added advantage
• At least 3 years of R&D experience in new product development, life science instrument, hardware testing and/or experience in systems design is desired

• Biotechnology basics with experience in PCR and Real-Time PCR
• Acute analytical and trouble shooting skills with experience in test method development and hardware testing
• Experience in product design, hardware test and/or systems engineering is preferred
• Knowledge/experience in thermal and/or optical systems
• Hands-on ability to undertake test activities for concept designs and instruments
• Communicate and work well with team members from a diverse set of backgrounds
• Proficiencies in general Engineering, Mathematical and Statistical subject areas
