You will join the Equities Data Management team based collectively in London and Asia and will have responsibility for driving the Equities data strategy in conjunction with your business sponsors. You will develop deep Equities knowledge, and be considered an expert, during your interactions with your colleagues across different teams within Refinitiv.

The role is associated with Refinitiv Eikon and Workspace, the world\xe2\x80\x99s premium financial desktop products; the Real Time Elektron product which is market leading enterprise feed solution.

Role Summary:

This role will be focused on driving the data strategy with the Enterprise and Equities proposition team within Refinitiv and to innovate and deliver against the data needs of our client base within our desktop and enterprise products. It will require an ability to engage with multiple teams across a platform and feeds driven organization, most of which will not be reporting directly to the person in this role, influencing and assisting them to deliver data for our client base allowing them to make their day-to-day investment decisions.

Occasional national and international travel may be required. A track record for succeeding in similar contexts will be expected from candidates.

The successful candidate will also be dealing with client engagements including client data queries in Eikon / Workspace and enterprise feed products and support the Refinitiv Equities sales team with information on our data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Driving the relevant Equities data strategy in conjunction with your proposition managers
  • Engaging with proposition, frontline Sales and Account Management teams to assist with new sales/retention, understanding customer needs and identifying solutions.
  • Reviewing new relevant Equities data requests that are raised by clients
  • Working with the data requestor to clarify the requirements where this is required
  • Agreeing with the relevant stakeholders the priority order in which data should be built on Refinitiv desktop products (Eikon) and enterprise datafeeds
  • Delivery of the Equities data build projects onto the equities data and product roadmap
  • Engaging with Content Partners to ensure commercial agreements are in place for the use of the data, and that the required funding is in place
  • Working with the relevant business analysts and development teams so they have sufficient information to deliver the data on Eikon and/or our feeds and products
  • Marketing to include document writing to promote externally and educating internal sales and front line teams
  • Working closely with the product and analyst teams to ensure the product displays the data in the most user-friendly manner
  • Producing usage analysis and source license spend reviews for relevant equities data
  • Acting as an escalation point/fourth level support for customer queries


Key Relationships:

This role within the Data Management organisation has a mandate to engage with the proposition managers, product managers, content partners, business analysts and development, sales and with clients/end-users across the Equities sector to deliver the data and associated capabilities to meet the needs of our business.

Essential Experience required:
  • Approximately 3 years of data/product management experience some of it within either the financial information or risk management product markets
  • A deep understanding of exchanges and equities markets will be critical.
  • Experience and understanding of exchange market data
  • Knowledge of office products to a high level


Desired Experience Required:
  • Having worked in relevant equities trading, analytical or industry background
  • Knowledge of Python an advantage
  • Education/ Certifications: (Specific degrees and/or certifications (denote required or preferred))
  • Degree level education in either business/economics or another scientific/mathematical discipline, ideally at a Masters\xe2\x80\x99 level.
