Introduction

The Economist Events, the award-winning events department of The Economist Group, produces 70+ events a year and is seeking a Senior Operations Executive to join our growing team. Our operations team is responsible for all event logistics and budget management, ensuring that events meet the expectations of our delegates and sponsors and that financial targets are met. The Senior Operations Executive works closely with the Events Managers.

The successful candidate will be based in Singapore and be responsible for the execution of our live events in Singapore, as well as supporting our virtual events. The successful applicant should have three to five years of experience in the events industry, be a team player but confident to operate independently and be comfortable working in a regional setting.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

• Execute virtual or hybrid programs and lead on-site execution
• Set, communicate, maintain timelines and priorities on projects through timeframes, status reporting, emails etc.
• Deliver meetings and events on time, within budget and in line with agreed concepts and proposals
• Maintain and develop long-term client relationship by meeting or exceeding client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations
• Final reconciliation (operational and financial) of all projects handled
• On site management, including suppliers and team management

• Diploma/Degree qualification in Business/Marketing/Communications
• Technologically savvy and comfortable using new tools or software
• Good level of project management, organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent eye for detail and able to meet multiple deadlines
• 3 to 5 years in an events operations role along with some agency experience
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore
