About Department and Purpose of the Position

The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.

We are seeking a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager in NCIS to develop fundraising collaterals for both printed and online platforms to engage and manage donors as well as potential donors by ensuring regular communications adhering to fundraising timeline and guideline.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Communications

  • Conceptualise and develop content for fundraising campaign, blogs, articles, and social media platform to capture the attention of donors and potential donors.
  • Assist the fundraising team in developing content for pitching to potential donors.
  • Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
  • Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
  • Perform secretariat function to the Fundraising Committee and to report/present fundraising matters or updates at various management meetings as and when required.
  • Work with other department managers/clinicians to pitch for research and projects funding.
  • Respond to fundraising communication related issues in a timely manner.
  • Create effective communication strategies with NCIS Comms and NUHS comms for fundraising activities.
  • Coordinate external and internal communications flow. Build long term relationships with influencers and key stakeholders.
  • Respond to fundraising communication related issues in a timely manner.
Donors Management & Stewardship
  • Assist in seeking out gifting opportunities and working closely with clinicians for research projects pitch.
  • Assist with NUS for philanthropy/ private equity pitching.
  • Assist in relationship management with existing and potential donors for continuous gifting opportunities.
  • Provide end to end stewardship to potentials for NUS gifting.
Other Administrative duties
  • Covering for financially disadvantaged patients\' application matters.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in communications, English or related fields.
  • Proven content writing or copywriting experience
  • Working knowledge of content management systems
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Around 3 to 5 years of working experience in Marketing/Communications role.
  • Fundraising experience and knowledge will be a plus but not compulsory.
  • Self-starter able to execute events and projects from start to end and a team player.
