Job Description

Asian School of the Environment (ASE) is a school in the College of Science of Nanyang Technological University. The IT department of ASE manages a vast array of services and technologies that supports administration, research and learning. Responsibilities :

• Manage information technology and computer systems, which includes, but is not limited to, installation, maintenance, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network.
• Administer ASE applications and software which includes, but is not limited to, managing ASE website, ASE NTULearn and managing ASE software licenses.
• Implement, organize, and deploy according to NTU and ASE policies and procedures.
• Administer computer, telecommunications, audio & video (AV), and information systems.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with NTU policies, Board of Governance requirements, user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time. Where required, liaise with NTU CITS, vendors, and contractors to identify root causes to identify control measures and implement solutions.
• Audit systems, assets and propose improvement measures where required.
• Procure and preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.

Requirements :

• Diploma or Bachelor in IT.
• Aspiring IT practitioner with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Individuals with proven working experience in the education/research sectors will be considered favorably.
• A good ability to digest complex information and requirements effectively.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and listening).
• Confidence in decision-making.
• Highly motivated and independent
• Meticulous with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management skill and ability to prioritize work well.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and constraints. Highly flexible and adaptable to changes.
