About the job

The candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of creative and integrative interventions through art and mindfulness at Mind Art Experiential Lab (MAELab); establishment of scientific evidence of innovative preventive interventions through research; and scaling up evidence-based interventions to impact the community. He/she will work closely with committees and advisory board and various partners in developing programmes, capability building and facilitating research to fulfil Mind Science Centre\' mission.



Art curation

  • Plan, implement and manage art exhibition every 6-9 months, in conjunction with experiential art activity programmes
  • Integrate awareness, experiential learning and preventive interventions to build emotional resilience in different target groups - seniors, working adults/healthcare professionals and youth
  • Ensure timely and successful launch of 2-3 curations biannually with 4-6 workshops per curation
Art Administration
  • Tender preparation, manage artist-in-residence for art exhibitions and programmes, manage timeline, budget and ensure smooth operations from start to end
  • Collaborate with artists, community partners for greater collective impact
  • Facilitate access to exhibition, coordinate on-site visits and present research through public lectures
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and record-keeping of artworks
MindGym
  • Plan and manage mindfulness-based workshops
  • Provide administrative support and liaise with trainers and participants
Marketing and outreach
  • Raise awareness and drive attendance, outreach art programmes in collaboration with community partners and volunteers
  • Ensure good attendance and visitor experience
  • Produce virtual tours to extend the outreach
  • Update website and social platforms in a timely manner
  • Recruit, train and maintain a committed pool of volunteers
Research
  • Facilitate research and collaborate with research scientists to establish scientific evidence for art programmes
  • Assist in strengthening excellence in research towards mind and art and translate research to programmes to impact the community
Sustainability
  • Develop action plan and annual budget; build sources of funding and revenue; support Art & Science Council
  • Assist in secretariat duties, including preparation of minutes, reports and presentation materials
  • Support Art & Science Council to ensure viability of MAELab
  • Assist in other events and outreach
Job requirement
  • Diploma/Degree holder with relevant work experience in the field of marketing, arts administration or mental health
  • Fresh graduate with keen interest in art or has done art elective is welcome to apply.
  • A team player who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in digital, multi-sensory art gallery or display is a plus.
