Understand purchase requirements and source accurately and efficiently
Identify global prospective suppliers
Evaluate tender responses and conduct negotiations with shortlisted suppliers
Understand market trend and seek to improve cost efficiency
Managing procurement projects within operations to ensure alignments between costs, commercial needs, and operation execution
Support and implement supplier category strategies, working in close collaboration with key stakeholders and business functions in executing a structured sourcing process to optimize the value from the value chain
Working with legal counsel to review and prepare contractual documents
Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Processes
Develop and implement procedures and processes, based on best practices, to ensure smooth and streamlined process
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Quantity Survey/Business/ Engineering
At least 5 -7 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a Procurement Department of the Construction industry
Knowledge of SAP MM
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A good team player, and able to work collaboratively to achieve organizational outcomes and timelines
Able to work independently, with strong negotiations skills, meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
Resourceful, self-starter, hands-on, multi-tasking, and self-motivated individual
Experience in global procurement for data centre projects is highly desirable
Knowledge in construction, mechanical & electrical engineering industry and power contracts would be an added advantage
