Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Sr Exprditor (Supply Chain) with good experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the Expediting of Purchase Orders to ensure delivery on time and within project schedules/purchase order terms
• Responsible for coordinating all aspects of desk and field expediting as determined by project strategy, processes, and procedures
• Lead a team of expeditors, ensure personnel carry out expediting activities have a clear understanding of processes and procedures
• Manage and monitor the more challenging and complex packages &/or suppliers and identify delivery improvement opportunities by details analysis of supplier project schedules
• Has detailed understanding of the supplier delivery obligations from the terms and conditions of purchase
• Monitor the progress of receipt and return of supplier documentation
• Review and interpret supplier production plans/schedules, identify delivery improvement opportunities, and negotiate delivery improvements / slippage recovery Inform project management of any potential schedule slippages and instigate delivery / recovery plans where required
• Creation / updating of expediting reports in materials management system / expediting report format. Updating of PO expediting status in material management system. Prepare / issue expediting summary reports
• Obtain C.V.’s of 3rd party expediting providers, review and assign field expediting. Coordinate field expediting visit with suppliers / agencies, receive, review and distribution of report
• Visit suppliers for expediting purpose
• Coordinate shipment of project materials as per Purchase order delivery terms
• Coordinate with supplier / appointed Freight Forwarder for timely and cost-effective shipment of project materials
• Maintain an auditable file of all relevant documentation for each purchase order

Skills / Qualifications: PERSON Qualification, Knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years expediting experience demonstrating results, Previous use of ERP’s such as SAP, Oracle or other equivalent system
• Hands-on experience on MS office
• Detailed knowledge of Suppliers, Manufacturing Schedules and Expediting. knowledge of terms and conditions of purchase/supplier obligations. Detailed Knowledge of Materials & Document Expediting Practices
• Excellent Communication Skills. Strong Team Player. Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills
• Able to Work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Provide reports to senior management, as requested
