Supply Chain & Operation
Supply Chain Management professional’s help clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, manufacturing, and fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain. The key areas of focus/consideration for the Supply Chain and Operations practice in Fulfillment areas are:

  • Design and implement efficient and effective supply chain and logistics networks that support client business strategies
  • Balancing the tradeoffs of customer service levels, inventory deployment, network options, transportation, and distribution costs in the network design
  • Identifying operational and transformational initiatives to enable a zero-based supply chain
  • Help companies implement processes, applications, and enablement strategies to support the transaction flow from customer inquiry through to financial settlement, order to cash process

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Fulfillment practice area within the broader SC&O practice including overseeing projects, maintaining client relationships, monitoring sales pipelines, playing an active role in building the team (e.g. team size and capabilities)
  • Work independently in client facing situations as well as part of larger project teams in the design, development and implementation of new and improved business processes and enabling technology in Fulfillment and Logistics related projects
  • Overseeing / supervising fulfillment and logistics projects across all phases from origination, proposal development and delivery
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships with key client supply chain stakeholders
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for making client proposals and setting up project objectives for the prospective projects
  • Deliver expertise for the implementation and continuous improvement of logistics strategy, organization, network, processes, operations, and technology.
  • Leverage best practices and expertise to create client-specific business solutions
  • Lead the development of quantitative / qualitative business cases for proposals and project value realization
  • Typical Fulfillment and Logistics projects include:
  • Strategy: Supply Chain strategy, Logistics and Supply Chain assessment, fulfillment model, customer service policy, zero-based supply chain, eCommerce/omnichannel supply chain design
  • Network: supply chain network simulation using tools such as Llamasoft/Riverlogic, implementation of recommendations including supporting clients in logistics tendering/RFP processes
  • Operating model: development of processes and SOPs (standard operation procedures), definition of supply chain KPIs, design organization structure for fulfillment and logistics
  • Operations: transportation planning, route planning, productivity benchmarking, warehouse layout design, equipment, and automations, 3PL/ 4PL service evaluation, logistics upskilling


Experience, Attributes and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalented
  • Minimum 7 years of industry and/or consulting experiences
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of business, technology and process implications as related to fulfillment, logistics, network design, operation planning, warehousing, transportation, distribution operations, and other logistics related areas
  • Expert in topics such as supply chain network design, ecommerce/omnichannel supply chain, fulfillment strategy and implementation, changes to supply chain nodes, supply chain assets, business case creation, cost to serve etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in quantitative/qualitative process analysis techniques, process metrics and performance measurement
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication, leadership, project management, and teamwork skills with an ability to interact effectively with different levels of management.
