About the Role M1’s Design team is looking to expand our team who will help build the creative ownership around M1’s user interfaces, websites, apps, campaign pages, brand’s visual language, and voice / tone. We are open to both entry level and Senior Experience Designers who are passionate about creativity and practicality – layered with a human touch. As a member of the Design Team for M1, you will proudly own the look and feel of M1’s experiences.
As a Senior / Experience Designer in the Digital Office – CX / UX & Design,

  • You will be a natural team player who possess good design aesthetics and well-considered UX recommendations to uplift the experience across our diversified touch points ranging from website, mobile APPs, digital kiosks to other internal systems that require modern UX and UI treatment
  • You will work independently to derive the ideal solutions in UX and UI while proactively connecting with other designers within the team to ensure consistency in the experiences
  • You will be expected to bring to the table ample research with a creative point-of-view so that everyone in the team can build on one another to create the best experiences
  • You will be required to build empathy maps, experience maps, user-flows, sitemaps, information architecture, update design guidelines, component libraries, and any design assets
  • Your design recommendations will be based on existing Design System and components, and you should be able to make the right judgement when to deviate with a clear objective in mind
  • You will need to actively participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to understand what is required to be done
  • From time to time, you will be required to create compelling UX and visual concepts for new opportunities that can bring new value to the business
  • You will also be expected to take part in workshops and any research activities that require additional support from the team
  • This position will require you to be on-site at M1 office located in the West of Singapore

Job Requirements To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communication Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology OR equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 to 5 years with hands-on experience for Senior Experience Designer, OR at least 1 year for entry level Experience Designer
  • You should have a compelling online portfolio to showcase good UX thinking and creative excellence designing user interfaces for products, APPs, websites, landing pages, and digital kiosks
  • You understand what Design Thinking is and know how to apply the methodology across workshops, brainstorms, and internal discussions
  • Excellent knowledge in defining and maintaining Design System
  • Excellent understanding of UX and research methodologies
  • Experience in writing micro-copy for interfaces and micro animations will be huge plus
  • Meticulous and pay attention to details down to the last pixel
  • Good in organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • A strong self-starter who is curious, resourceful, adaptable, and willing to learn
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Have a good understanding of Agile and Scrum process
  • Proficiency in graphical tools and associated workflows (eg. Figma, Adobe CC, Confluence, Jira, Zeplin, Principle
  • Good understanding of Marketing, Advertising, and Technology
