Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product & Experience Designer to join the digital product teams that work on Aesop.com. This is a global role, based in our digital & technology hub in Singapore, reporting to the Global Experience & Service Design Manager in Melbourne. In this role, you will partner with a dedicated product team to create customer and business value by leveraging data, customer insights and collaboration to execute engaging, innovative and meaningful digital experiences for our global customers. You will bring creative problem solving and a lean mindset to end-to-end product design processes and execute through rapid prototyping to help teams make quick decisions and deliver on business objectives.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Responsible for design and execution of e-commerce solutions that surprise and delight our customers, elevating our signature brand experience across key markets, particularly in Asia.
  • Workshop facilitation to understanding and prioritise the needs of customers and stakeholders across different markets
  • Support product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers and data analysis to design exceptional experiences from conception until launch
  • Employing an iterative test and learn approach to frequently ship high quality work that meets Aesop’s design standards.
  • Champion human-centred design and Aesop’s digital product design principles to ensure outcomes meet customer expectations and our customer experience vision.
  • Translate insights into journeys, wireframes and hi-fidelity interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive and inclusive user experiences, optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Proactively contribute to Aesop’s design system and design practice to build domain knowledge and capability with peers and the wider business
  • Keep up to date with design and technology trends, global best practices, applying these to your work to drive continuous innovation in digital experience.

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of experience In Product / UX Design (eCommerce and agency experience highly favoured)
  • Strong execution skills across research, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototyping, mobile-first and responsive design.
  • A solid grasp of human-centred design principles and frameworks, mixed methods research, and accessibility principles
  • Ability to communicate designs clearly and effectively to a large group of cross functional stakeholders, and in doing so, bring clarity to complexity and demonstrate the value of their work.
  • Brings an Agile mindset to the role and can adapt their design process across SCRUM methodology to ensure frequent delivery of customer value in each sprint.
  • Proficient working with a component-based design system using Figma and documenting front-end requirements
  • Ability to apply a non-biased approach to testing assumptions and outcomes and continuously action feedback as part of design development.
