Job Description


Purpose of the job

The purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day operations of the Singapore Finance team, including timely and accurate monthly and annual closing within all financial reporting deadlines and perform competent analysis & reporting duties as required.

The role will have to work closely with the stakeholders in the business and support them in all finance functions proactively to enable them to make sound business decisions.

The role will have to support a series of finance operations such as cash management, forecasting and planning of Singapore office, streamline finance operations to increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full sets of accounting (AP, AR, GL & Reporting)
  • Accountable for daily operations in the Singapore office in all finance bookkeeping, accounting, and reconciliation
  • Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and maintenance of financial records and information
  • Processing payments and invoice accurately and within expected time periods
  • Responsible for credit control and collection, timely provision for monthly expenditure, fixed assets, accruals, month end closing and year-end activities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Prepare quarterly GST filing
  • Work with counterparts across countries and functions on financial reporting and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with Finance processes and SOP
  • Manage resources and cash flow whenever needed for the SG office
  • Liaise with internal and external vendors to ensure financial compliance with statutory and global requirements
  • Provide support in internal and external audits Support the delivery of reports for profit and cost analysis, cost optimization solutions, process improvements and forecasting/budgeting whenever necessary.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and implementations whenever necessary
  • Support business operations and endure they adhere to financial reporting guidelines.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
  • Bachelors\'/Post Graduate qualification in Finance related specialization (Accounting, Finance) with a professional certificate such as CPA/ACCA with strong experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting and forecasting
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a related capacity (Experience in MNC/agencies would be advantageous)
  • Hands on experience in cost accounting, financial reporting and budget forecasting
  • Cash flow related knowledge would be advantageous
  • Detail oriented, good communicator
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a good team player
  • High level of time management and able to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate at ease with all levels of management, team members, clients across cultures and time zones
