Job Description




Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Program Analyst will have overall responsibility for the administration of the accounting function for programs for North Asia and South Asia. They will have accountability and custody of the programs accounting data and records and is responsible for ensuring regional best practices in Programs financial management and creating a high level of governance and transparency in financial reporting. They will work closely with the North Asia Head of Programs, Program Managers, and Finance Managers to provide oversight on all issues and matters relating to Programs.

The incumbent must possess a proven track record for timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The individual is someone who will bring knowledge and creativity to the position as well as have the discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support North Asia Head of Programs, Program Managers, and Entity Finance Managers with financial insight of Programs
  • Provide programs\' profitability analysis on entity margin (external selling price less transfer price) and transparent gross margin (external selling price less manufacturing and local costs) Financial Control
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for programs
  • Review Programs-related Balance sheet to ensure accuracy, existence and completeness.
  • Ensure consistent use and appropriate application of the global chart of accounts and accounting principles and policies Budgetary
  • Lead budget variance commentary and reporting
  • Track and advise on profitability variances from approved DORBs. Treasury
  • Provide accurate cash-flow forecasting and monitor actual cash-flow relating to programs
  • Monitor FX impact on Programs, assessing hedging effectiveness as required.

The Individual
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial management
  • Experience of working in well-established global multinationals with matrix reporting structures. Ability to report to a senior level outside the country whilst supporting the local business management
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Strong exposure to financial control; budgeting, forecasting and management reporting; and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements
  • Experience in data management, including use of business intelligence reporting (for example Tableau) and finance systems. Knowledge of SAP is a must
  • Treasury, tax and transfer pricing experience is preferable, but not a must
  • Experience in Singapore GAAP reporting is a must; exposure to UK GAAP reporting would be advantageous
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant from a recognised professional accountancy body
