Senior Firmware Engineer (PLC | Contract | Kallang)

1-Year contract (Extendable)
Location : Kallang
Salary $8500 depending on experience
Completion Bonus

Our Client is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation. They are actively looking for Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Enhancement of firmware related to PLCs and associated products
• Real Time Operating System, Low-level drivers and HW interfaces
• Design and development of enhancements based on marketing requirement
• Perform functional and reliability tests of FW code, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
• Creation of data (Impact Analysis) for the Board of Change (BoC) to take decisions
• Create the necessary documentation for the FW code and review information for our customer documentation.
• Close cooperation with our multi-site R&D team, Verification- and Validation teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor or master\'s degree in computer science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 5-6 years\' experience in developing and/or maintaining embedded systems run VxWorks.
• Experienced on PLC design is a plus
• Exposure to developing low-level drivers, HW interfaces, prototypes, and products with real time constraints
• Demonstrated programming experience with C/C++, Python etc.
• Good understanding of one or more of fieldbuses (Ethernet/IP, CAN, OPC/UA, Profbus/ProfiNet etc.)
• Experienced in solving complex system problems with systematic troubleshooting skills
• Analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving with customer focus
