Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Food Technologist will focus on innovation and product application across confectionery and bakery categories to support new product development initiatives to help move ingredients from concept to commercialization. You will collaborate with other technical and business teams including marketing, sensory and commercial teams to find innovative ways to use ingredients that meet specific customer needs. Key Accountabilities

Establish and cultivate effective relationships with customers to maintain existing business and gain new ones.
Provide commercial prospecting and anticipate technological developments.
Support sales efforts to understand and solve complex customer issues.
Support strategic marketing technology and food or product safety quality and regulatory to develop and proof new products.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Innovative in bakery recipe creation and to translate artisanal bakery to industrial bakery.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food engineering or related majors.
Minimum 6 years of work experience in industrial bakeries and ingredients.
Must have hands-on experience in bakery product prototyping and conducting pilot trials/ scale up trials
Strong scientific knowledge in ingredients and process technologies related to bakery, e.g. cake and cookies, baked good, frozen baked good, bakery premix
Knowledge in using laboratory instrumentation (e.g. rheometer, texture analyzer, particle size analyzer, microscope, etc.) and pilot-plant equipment (e.g. Rondo Sheeter, Oven, Combi Oven)
Knowledge and/or experience with food specialty ingredients \xe2\x80\x93 sweeteners, fiber, modified starches, hydrocolloids, emulsifier is a plus
Other minimum qualifications may apply PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and collaboration skills.
Experience with customer support
Experience in nutritional concept development
Experience in product development and manufacturing activities
Ability to develop customer relationships and trust through technical knowledge and expertise
