What the role is:Analysis, reporting and research in the area of forensic biology.
Conduct and supervise DNA analysis of crime samples.
Interpretation and statistical analysis of forensic DNA results.
Preparation and review of reports, and provision of expert Court testimony.
Participate in QA/QC activities
Development of new forensic DNA technologies.
Assist the Laboratory Director in general laboratory administrative matters and technical staff training.
Job Requirements
A strong background in Life Sciences, with experience and knowledge in Mendelian Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology.
Proven expertise in molecular biology/genetics as evidenced by publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Preferably have 1-2 years experience with statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS) in life sciences setting.
Familiarity with population genetics or metagenomics on MPS will be an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborative team player with initiative and able to work independently \xe2\x80\x8b
