We are seeking a highly motivated, cross-functional Salesforce Functional Consultant. The role is primarily responsible for driving technology and process improvement for our customers, through the Salesforce declarative features, tech stack and related ecosystem. This role requires best practice knowledge for understanding functional business processes, identifying areas for optimisation, and using Salesforce technologies to provide positive business outcomes.
Experience And Qualifications
Must have:
5+ years’ experience delivering consulting projects, including stakeholder management
3+ years’ experience operating in a pre-sales environment, contributing to scoping large and complex implementation projects
6+ years of engaging in enterprise-level project lifecycle delivery
Strong balance of collaborative and self-starter mentality; able to own your own tasks and schedule while also working well within the team
Successful track record of delivering functional expertise and solutions as a vendor into a variety of industries and experience in helping with requirements gathering, scoping, and effort estimation
Demonstrated technical and/or functional aptitude, and ability to engage with SMEs throughout the project lifecycle
Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills, experience presenting to project stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and leading discussions such as business processes and user stories

Senior Functional Consultant
Responsibility
Collaborating with a talented team of passionate Salesforce, data, QA, Heroku, and UI/UX experts and partner closely with the world’s leading automotive manufacturers on a wide variety of projects
Working directly with senior level stakeholders/executives to understand, design, and create Salesforce solutions for high profile clients.
Leading workshops and facilitating requirement gathering sessions to determine client needs, manage conflicting business priorities, understand processes, and document user stories.
Liaising with stakeholders and the technical team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s processes and how to optimise them, and then working with the technical team
Ensuring that Salesforce solutions enable the business to achieve its objectives, improve user experience, and drive system adoption.
Experience designing, configuring, and recommending solutions that leverage declarative features of the Salesforce platform to solve complex business requirements.
Ownership of the enhancement backlog, partnering with the PM and stakeholders to jointly prioritize initiatives.
Complete gap analysis for as-is and to-be processes; translating into functional and technical specifications.
Leading change management initiatives related to new feature releases including documentation and training.
Understanding of how functional requirements and technical solutions such as upstream / downstream integrations impact the overall solution
Act as a subject matter expert on the Professional Services team to confidently evaluate viable options, communicate the pros and cons of each, make a recommendation, and justify the recommendation
Experience working with system integrator and general consultancy ecosystem
Engage and orchestrate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the organisation to contribute to cross team service solution proposals, which may include components of functional and technical scope
Serve as a customer advocate in driving industry best practices and the evolution of Salesforce product and platform functionality, courses and administrative services integral to the customer
Contribute thought leadership and best practices, both internally and externally, around business transformation and delivery methodology.
Contribute to enhance our delivery methodology and services practice
Stay current with Salesforce releases and leverage updates applicable to organisational requirements.
