JOB DESCRIPTION - to lead Fundraising & Communications functionDaughters of Tomorrow has grown from a 5-person small organisation to a 22-person mid- sized IPC in 5 short years. The character and breadth of the programs it runs have also grown with the organisation. The appointed candidate will lead the fundraising strategy to ensure sustainable growth and organisational impact in line with DOT's mission.Reporting to the Executive Director (ED) and as a member of the Fundraising Committee, the
Senior Fundraising and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy for Daughters Of Tomorrow (including the
Communications Strategy). In particular, you will be tasked with - a) increase and diversify fundraising revenue, particularly improving retail fundraising b) to deliver annual fundraising growth of 25% over the next three years c) actively source new sources of medium (3 - 5 years) to long term (legacy and >5 years) donor partnershipsThis role will oversee the Fundraising and PR/Communication team.This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with experience in fundraising or business development looking for career switch and to contribute to society. It is a full-time position and the candidate should possess 6-8 years of relevant experience within the same or related field within Singapore.The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and skilled at building relationships.

  • Working with the Senior Management Team, develop, manage and implement annual and multi-year fundraising plan, with strategies tailored to identify and nurture new and existing donors;
  • Build and encourage new partnerships and networks to cultivate engaged and active donors, including corporates, foundations, retail and private HNWI categories, by leveraging on personal and DOT connections.
  • Lead fundraising and income generation for key projects including specific fundraising appeals/events and development of effective and appropriate fundraising products.
  • Engage the support of the Fundraising Committee to involve the committee members in supporting fundraising and in the initiation and development of key fundraising relationships.

  • Manage and develop the fundraiser network and recurring donor strategy, including opportunities to mobilise fundraisers for income generation.
  • Support the team in identifying, and writing of funding grants
  • Oversee all fundraising events, and monitor fundraising income for the year.
  • Oversee and manage the department budget as approved by the Board.
  • Lead and develop Fundraising team to achieve department and organisation goals, as mentioned above.
Communications
  • Develop and monitor the communications strategy including the development of effective and appropriate key messages about the work of DOT and to generate support.
  • Plan, oversee, align and implement the marketing and communications plan across all areas of activity, adhering to budgets and deadlines.
  • Monitor and evaluate outcomes of the communications plan and its return on investment, developing this in response to changing circumstances.
  • Be responsible for developing and leading with the ED, the organisations' public relations, communications and media work, working with the Communications &
Fundraising team to deliver this.
  • Actively advocate and be a spokesperson for DOT at presentations, events and meetings. Make presentations about the organisation and its activities at conferences, seminars etc.
  • With the ED, act as a spokesperson with the media. Develop and manage a media emergency/ crisis response strategy including the production of pre-prepared media statements and briefings to all staff, Board members and volunteers as appropriate.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing & Communications team in raising the profile of DOT across a range of media outlets including managing social media channels, website management, management of Google analytics, email marketing and others.
Manage and develop the Fundraising & Communications Team while working closely with members of the Senior Management Team
  • Act as the Senior Manager for the Fundraising and Communications team and be a part of the senior management team and the Fundraising Committee.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DOT's policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide support to the ED and the senior management team.
  • Contribute to meetings with Board Members as requested and prepare Board reports for monitoring

  • Experience of data analysis, digital marketing and research to support fundraising growth
  • A strong understanding of strategic communications, marketing and how to raise an organisation's profile and impact
  • Experience of managing and developing a team to achieve excellence and meeting targets
  • Experience of influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong track record in developing innovative and targeted fundraising campaigns and high-level events, with tangible and measurable results

  • Strategic fundraising experience at a senior level with the ability to think ahead, set clear direction and formulate realistic strategic objectives
  • Business development and ability to grow income through a diverse range of fundraising activities (ideally including experience of Corporate and/or Major Donor
Fund-raising), personally securing multiple 5 and 6 figure sum donations.
