We are looking for a Senior Guest Operations Specialist to join our Singapore team. The ideal candidate should be a stickler for detail, proactive, standalone and skilled in general maintenance tasks, and thoughtful as to ensure that Blueground properties are continuously in pristine condition for our guests.

The role will be working closely with Singapore General Manager and local 3rd party providers (e.g., related to cleaning, maintenance) in preparing new units, ensuring that existing units are perfect for our guests, and handling any issues or emergencies that arise. These issues include but are not limited to handling guest lockouts, emergency relocations, as well as keeping General Manager informed of potential repairs and actions being taken.

This position will possibly require weekend hours and will be Wednesday through Sunday working.

What will you mostly focus on:

  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to spend time "in the field" traveling between our apartments in Singapore
  • Full operational set-up and maintenance coordination of Blueground properties (furnishing, supplies, services, etc) according to brand style and guidelines
  • Style and manage the photoshoots of the new apartments to ensure spaces look perfect based on Blueground's photoshoot guidelines
  • Drive down operational costs and constantly improve processes, while upholding Blueground's quality standards
  • Liaise, manage and negotiate with contractors, vendors, and external business partners ensuring that our guests enjoy high standards of client experience
  • Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of guest experience services
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Perform viewings, check-in/outs to our properties according to business standards
  • Supervise external parties while working on resolving an emergency in our apartments (locksmith, plumber etc.)
  • Conduct initial and final inspection of newly onboarded apartments, and conduct inspections between clients move in /move out
  • Supervise, inspect the different types of works in the field (installation, cleaning , maintenance and repairs, deliveries of furniture)
  • Conduct monthly warehouse visits to check the storage condition of Furniture, inventory, and ensure everything is according to Blueground standard
What we are looking for:
  • 4+ years of progressive work experience preferably in the area of business operations or services in a start-up, SME or large corporation
  • Previous experience in contractor and service management and negotiation
  • Experience working with 3PL and warehouse providers preferred
  • Experience in hospitality or real estate is considered a plus
  • Fluency in the local language
  • Confident user of technology (email, slack, G-suite, MS Office)
  • Good eye for detail and a can-do attitude
  • A positive, confident, upbeat and friendly personality
  • Guest-centric mindset
  • Results-oriented go-getter; great at multitasking and managing competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working under tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills put to use in a fast pace environment
  • Flexibility in schedule and working hours , with ability to put extra hours/days in accordance with business needs
