Job Description


What the role is:As a Senior Head, Planning and Coordination in the Higher Education Planning Office, you will be part of a team involved in shaping the transformation of the higher education and skills landscape by formulating strategies to meet the needs of the economy and support the pursuit of individual aspirations.What you will be working on:

  • Drive the formulation, implementation and review of long-term strategies and cross-cutting policy initiatives in the higher education and skills sector, such as LifeSkills, digital literacy, internships, and education and career guidance \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with diverse stakeholders (e.g. Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and economic agencies) to ensure good socio-economic outcomes for our fresh graduates and adult learners \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate internal corporate planning efforts to prioritise, track and review short- and medium-term workplans, in line with the overall priorities for the higher education and skills sector \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide secretariat support to Political Office Holders and MOE Senior Management at external, whole-of-government platforms This is an individual contributor role.   • Good writing and quantitative analytical skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, engage and work with diverse stakeholders with different interests and perspectives \xe2\x80\xa2 Operational planning abilities for large corporate events \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work well independently and in teams \xe2\x80\xa2 Keen eye for detail and good sense of perspective; comfortable with navigating between having a strategic view and focusing on details In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
