What the role is:You will join a team in designing and implementing private outpatient healthcare financing policies that seek to ensure affordability for patients, while maintaining sustainability of our healthcare system. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:The work involves: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting detailed analysis of patient profiles and needs, healthcare costs, adequacy of subvention and subsidy policies, monitoring of fees to effectively shape the way care is delivered and how and where patients seek care. \xe2\x80\xa2 Handling analysis of costing, utilisation, and billing datasets to strengthen policymaking. \xe2\x80\xa2 Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage the end-to-end process from developing and reviewing policies, to designing the processes and ensuring smooth implementation of changes through system optimisation, to support the integrity of our financing schemes. \xe2\x80\xa2 In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop, review and implement financing policies that enable Singapore\'s Healthier SG strategy.What we are looking for:Key Competencies Require \xe2\x80\xa2 Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. \xe2\x80\xa2 Improving & Innovating - Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. \xe2\x80\xa2 Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose. \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary education in any discipline is required \xe2\x80\xa2 An interest in healthcare and/or systems thinking \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong quantitative skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g. Python, R) preferable \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Ministry of Health:The Ministry of Health\'s (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people - to live well, live long and with peace of mind.
