Job Description


Odette is award-winning Chef-Owner Julien Royer’s first restaurant, located at the iconic National Gallery Singapore. Working with the world’s best boutique producers, Odette serves Modern French cuisine that is guided by Royer’s lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir and artisanal produce sourced from boutique producers around the world. Odette is named in tribute to Royer’s grandmother who taught him how some of the most remarkable dishes can come from the purest ingredients, and believed in ensuring that the fundamental pleasures of enjoying a meal are delivered in the most thoughtful, welcoming and hospitable manner. This ethos has directed every aspect of the Odette experience, harking to a new age in fine dining.

We are looking for a passionate, customer-driven individual to fill the role of Senior Host for our establishments. The role requires the individual to take charge of training and mentoring team members to ensure friendly and excellent customer service standards. Assisting managers in the daily service and restaurant operations, maintaining the quality and consistency of the products is pivotal in helping the team members surpass expectations and provide guests with the best experience possible.

You’ll be in charge of:

  • Managing reservations through phone calls, emails and other forms of communications
  • Ensuring there are no overlapped reservations, and that all tables are confirmed with credit card details
  • Assisting the management with the arrangement of seating plans on every service
  • Researching on all guests’ profiles before dining
  • Responding to any guest enquiries and requests
  • Warmly welcoming every guest that enters the restaurant
  • Addressing guests by name, recognize any special occasions mentioned and pass on the information to the team to personalize guests’ experience
  • Taking initiative to check on guests regularly to make sure that their needs are met and recorded
  • Thanking every guest for dining at the restaurant before they leave
  • Building and maintaining a strong guest profile database, keeping the information updated regularly
  • Engaging with guests in the profile database whenever there are changes in the menu, special promotions, events and birthdays
  • Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Manager
We’re looking for:
  • Individuals who are skillful at communicating with guests and provide excellent customer service
  • Individuals with the ability to engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner
  • Individuals that are outgoing, presentable and service orientated
  • A well-groomed and professional appearance
  • Good command of spoken English
  • Someone that is able to work under pressure
  • Someone with relevant work experience in a high volume restaurant / bar
