RESPONSIBILITIES

\xc2\xb7 Provide expert advice to on-board new users to NSCC\'s systems.

\xc2\xb7 Engage with new researchers, communities and disciplines with data-intensive computing.

\xc2\xb7 Translate user requirements into optimal computational work plans.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in the design of NSCC\'s HPC/AI systems, including benchmarking NSCC workloads on various platforms and recommending the most suitable architecture for the research community.

\xc2\xb7 Design and implement scalable and performant HPC/AI software infrastructure with ease of maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Analyse system and user job data for efficient resource allocations and management.

\xc2\xb7 Profile and optimise the user applications and workflow on the NSCC\'s HPC/AI systems.

\xc2\xb7 Develop utility and automated testing tools for NSCC\'s HPC/AI systems.

\xc2\xb7 Develop user guide and best practice guide documents for NSCC\'s HPC/AI systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

\xc2\xb7 A postgraduate qualification or significant progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant

\xc2\xb7 scientific or computer science discipline.

\xc2\xb7 Proven working knowledge of HPC/AI system and software.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with HPC/AI development toolchain and scientific application software stack (GCC, oneAPI, AOCC, AOCL, MPI, CUDA, HDF5, MKL, FFTW, PyTorch, Tensorflow) on building HPC/AI software is essential, knowledge in using Spack or EasyBuild and Python programming is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with HPC job schedulers (PBS or SLURM), OpenMP & MPI, and container technologies (Docker or Singularity).

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with Kubernetes and AI frameworks is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with programming languages, Linux and HPC profiler & debugger tools e.g. Bash, C/C++, Fortran, Python, Conda, GDB, Git and IPM.

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with HPC storage e.g. GPFS and Lustre.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated good team play spirit and high-level problem solving skills.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated effective communication skill including the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of clients.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability & willingness to contribute novel ideas and approaches in support of research community.

\xc2\xb7 At least one published journal article or conference paper related to the field (please provide reference)

\xc2\xb7 To be considered for a senior position, the candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position and environment.
